Warrior Knights
Following the king's death, knights compete to conquer cities and control the kingdom. Players command armies, rout opposing forces, and develop captured cities to generate income for troops and improvements. In the Assembly, they vote on appointments, titles, and concessions that grant additional forces or revenue, while alliances form and break as players pursue control of more than half the kingdom's un-razed cities.

andycted8.9 After one completed and two unfinished games, this seems one of the most enjoyable "English" boardgame I've played so far. Has something of Civilization (simple rules that disappear and leave space to diplomacy and player informal interaction), Dune (menaces, blackmail, deals) with a unique flavour in an open setting that invites creativity. Caveats, it needs: - A proper table of friends who don't care too much to win or lose - players who don't mind tons of dice related outcomes - repeated plays to internalise rules and strategy in order to make the proper part of the game shine: the Assembly. That's where the game is at. Even the author said he basically built a game around the assembly idea. In the proper hands, it's a wonderful idea. Or actually more of an "open game system"
