Barony: Royal Edition

Players are competing noblemen extending their dominion across a shared map by recruiting, moving, and building forces and settlements. On a turn, a player chooses one of six actions: recruit knights into cities, move knights to capture or displace opponents, convert knights into villages or strongholds for resources, upgrade a village into a city for points, send expeditions to place pieces at the map edge, or spend resources to advance through noble ranks from baron up to duke. The game ends after a player attains the duke title and the round finishes; final scoring counts victory points for cities, remaining resources, and noble rank. This edition adds sorcery elements and asymmetric player powers.
