A terrible pandemic sweeps the community and hospitals fill with patients. Players take the roles of healthcare professionals working together to treat cases while managing scarce resources and mounting stress. Gameplay centers on cooperative hand-management and crisis mitigation: players play cards to perform treatments, share supplies, and resolve critical events while avoiding infection and burnout. Stress accumulates and can trigger incapacitation, forcing the team to adapt their strategy. The game models tension between duty and vulnerability, with limited actions and resources driving difficult choices as the group tries to keep the healthcare system functioning.
