After being rescued from a crash and nursed back to health, a survivor joins the people of Dalesbury and takes on patrol duty in return for their care. Bringing a group of soldiers who survived the Jacksonville massacre back to town puts the fragile refuge at the center of a struggle between local politicians and military forces.
