Works and Misfortunes of ye Alchemist
A fantasy OSR supplement detailing Howell, an alchemist, and Turlough, a dwarf smith, who provide an unusual source of healing potions. Rules randomize the potions available on each visit, while a d100 table introduces incidents that shape the characters’ current and future dealings with the alchemist. The 30 incidents include side quests, spell-based potions, flawed alchemical products, dangerous encounters, magic items, and various mishaps that may eventually end the business relationship. Optional rules add alchemy as a Specialist skill for use with Lamentations of the Flame Princess-compatible games. The supplement includes colour-background and black-and-white PDF versions.
