Yellow Jack: The War of Jenkin's Ear 1739-1743
A two-player operational naval wargame set in the Caribbean during the War of Jenkin’s Ear, 1739–1743. Players command British, Spanish, and French squadrons while managing competing government orders, trade protection, island defense, and colonial campaigns. Forces move between locations on a point-to-point map, with wind and weather affecting movement and combat. Players must maintain their fleets, coordinate formations, conduct amphibious assaults, and account for leadership, ship class, condition, hurricanes, and yellow fever. Scenarios cover the main war and can extend into the Caribbean campaigns of 1744–1748.
