Zaarden
A French-language, play-by-telephone roleplaying adventure set in a medieval fantasy city where adventurers gather. Players investigate the threat posed by Count Zaarden while navigating villages, forests, and the city’s entertainers, moneylenders, and card players. Trolls, goblins, lizardfolk, and other enemies inhabit the surrounding wilderness, with spoken descriptions, voices, and sound effects forming a central part of play. A description, rules, and area map were published in Casus Belli issue 75 in May 1993.
