Zero!: The Rise and Fall of The Imperial Japanese Air Force Dec 1941 - June 1942

A card-driven aerial combat wargame set in the Pacific from December 1941 to June 1942. Players command fighter and bomber squadrons from Imperial Japan, the UK, the US (Navy and Army Air Forces), and the American Volunteer Group, flying historical types such as the A6M Zero, F4F Wildcat, P-40 Tomahawk, Hurricane, Ki-43 Oscar and others. Gameplay uses full-color action and aircraft cards plus counters for aces to resolve dogfights, interceptions and bombing missions. A campaign layer links multiple missions into scenarios—Pearl Harbor, the Philippines, Malaya, Burma, Coral Sea and Midway—requiring allocation of pilots and materiel and, new to this volume, optional carrier group assignments that affect sortie choices and objectives.
