1985: Deadly Northern Lights
NATO vs Warsaw Pact in Northern Europe during World War III. Players command division-, brigade-, and battalion-sized forces across Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark, with naval and air units supporting ground operations. The game covers electronic warfare, nuclear and chemical weapons, special forces, amphibious invasions, mine warfare, coastal defenses, supply convoys, and stand-off strikes. Five scenarios range from the initial Soviet offensive in northern Norway to a full Arctic campaign, with variable reinforcements and scarce lines of communication shaping the course of the conflict.
