1985: Under an Iron Sky
NATO and Warsaw Pact forces clash in a detailed operational simulation of a 1985 conflict in Central Europe. Players command division- and brigade-sized ground units and squadron-sized air and helicopter units across 14-kilometer hexes, with each turn representing 48 hours. Air operations, electronic warfare, special forces, airmobile assaults, artillery, missiles, unrest, and variable reinforcements shape the campaign. Chemical and nuclear warfare rules allow escalation from battlefield use to strategic exchange. Two campaign games and four smaller scenarios cover conflicts ranging from a Warsaw Pact offensive to NATO intervention during revolts in Eastern Europe.
