Acute Care

Players work cooperatively as nurses staffing a busy hospital medical-surgical unit during a 12-hour shift. They allocate limited time cubes to patient care and unit tasks, responding to changing needs, emergencies, and complications. A Challenge Deck introduces situations the team must manage together. Patients may recover and be discharged, while quality points track factors such as patient satisfaction, staff cooperation, timeliness, performance improvement, and patient and family education, leading to Commendations or Deficiencies.
