Backyard Builders Treehouse

2016 · Card Game

Backyard Builders Treehouse

Draft from a shared hand to build a treehouse in this quick family game. Each round, choose a room card, add it to the tree, and pass the remaining cards to the next player. New rooms must match the type or value of the previous room, although any card can be played face down as a low-value wild room. Use wild rooms to avoid an awkward play or hide a card that another player may need.

Played this as "Yardmaster express". Importing my comment to here since BGG is deleting the old game entry. This plays faster than Yardmaster, because you just draft with a single hand of cards, and there is a little more game because each player gets their own goal they are going for. That being said, nobody was particularly impressed with this one either. I have the same questionable feelings about this. I don't know if I could even say which of the two I prefer more. I want to play both of these with my more heavy-euro group and see how they feel about them.
