2021 · Card Game
Subastral
Players collect and organize cards that represent eight Earth biomes, building a personal “journal” of research notes. Each card shows one of the biomes and a value from 1–6; eight cards are displayed on six shared cloud piles each turn. On a turn, play a card to the matching numbered cloud, then take either the pile to its left (adding those cards to hand plus a draw from the deck) or the pile to its right (adding those cards to the journal). Collected biomes form ordered piles left to right in the journal, and empty cloud spots are refilled from the deck. The deck includes a game-end marker; after the final round players score points for their two largest biome piles (cards scored by pile position) and for sets formed by repeatedly removing one card from each biome left to right. Highest total wins.
