Baltic Empires: The Northern Wars of 1558-1721

Players take the role of competing Baltic states during the early modern Northern Wars, each with asymmetrical abilities and distinct victory goals. Gameplay mixes economic development, administration management, and military expansion: collect resources, build infrastructure and units, recruit historical personages to a court deck, and wage wars using a streamlined dice-based combat system. Five factions represent Denmark–Norway, Sweden, Russia, Poland–Lithuania, and Prussia, each pursuing variable victory conditions that reflect national objectives. Scenarios support 2–5 players and range from short duels to longer campaigns with diplomacy, alliances, and shifting balances of power.
