Breaking Away
A luck-free cycling race in which each player manages a team of four riders. On a turn a player selects one rider’s movement allowance and advances that rider, then replenishes spent allowances based on each rider’s current position in the peloton — riders at the back gain higher replacement values than those at the front. Sprint points are awarded to the first eight riders across designated sprint lines, creating a tension between drafting to build stronger future movement allowances and breaking away to score sprints or the race win. Component options and team counts vary by edition and expansions.
