Carthage

Players take the role of gladiators fighting in a hex-based arena, competing to outlast opponents and earn crowd favor. Gameplay blends deck-building and hand management: each round players play action cards to move, attack, and gain armor during a combat phase, then spend crowd favor to acquire new cards or buy advantages for future rounds. Miniatures represent gladiators on the board and tactical positioning matters for attacks and movement. A modular ruleset lets groups adjust complexity and play time, and progression comes from developing a personal deck that improves damage, defense, and mobility as the match escalates toward elimination-based victory.

Solid game, plays pretty fast, great combat simulator without unnecessary randomness for hits/damage, which allows the game to have greater structure and strategy in play
