A contemporary roleplaying game set in the Cthulhu Mythos, where players create occult societies and compete in a secret struggle for the favor and power of alien gods. Characters use forbidden knowledge, cults, and magic while managing action, sanity, and degeneration, attempting to avoid madness and destruction. The core rules cover character creation, gameplay, the modern Mythos setting, major creatures and gods, and example cults. Guidance for running campaigns and two complete ready-to-play adventures are included.
