Players take the roles of modern mystics, magicians, and occultists who perceive a greater reality hidden behind the Veil. They seek to Ascend by mastering supernatural energies, while corruption threatens their mortal forms. Soul Jars help contain this corruption, but their lost secrets force players to recover these artifacts from the past or steal them from rival Adepts. The game focuses on conflict, resource acquisition, and shifting alliances in a morally compromised occult world.
