FAB: Sicily
A tactical-operational wargame simulating the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943. Players deploy Axis forces, then the Allied player selects invasion beaches and executes amphibious and land operations using one of several invasion plans or a custom hybrid. Units represent battalions and higher formations, with new unit and asset types, and play emphasizes movement across difficult Sicilian terrain, amphibious landings, air and sea support, and contested ports and victory areas. A cup-draw event system introduces replacements, morale shifts for Italian units, and special events that alter the course of the campaign. The game runs to nine turns; if no automatic victory occurs, the Axis gains exit and area-based bonuses tied to German withdrawals through Messina, creating pressure to contest every area.
