Combat! Volume 1

A solitaire man-to-man tactical wargame set in 20th-century combat. The player controls friendly teams and attempts scenario objectives while enemy forces are driven by an AI card system. Each turn the player plays one card to set initiative values for friendly teams, assigns orders to each character, then draws AI cards for alerted enemy teams to determine their initiatives and orders. The turn resolves in four impulses, with characters acting in order from lowest to highest initiative each impulse. Orders clear at the end of the turn and cards return to their decks. Play uses hex maps at 10 yards per hex and a large counter pool to represent individual characters and equipment.
