Falling Sky: The Gallic Revolt Against Caesar

Late Summer, 54 BC: Roman legions, Belgic warbands, Celtic confederations and Germanic tribes struggle for control of Gaul amid historical crises. Players take command of factions that recruit forces, rally allies, manage resources and conduct military operations across a map of Gaul. Play balances dispersed guerrilla-style actions with concentrated battles while dealing with shifting loyalties, political events and regional rivalries. The game uses an event-driven, asymmetric system that supports 1–4 players and includes a solitaire mode. Campaigns progress via card-driven turns representing seasonal campaigns and regional maneuvers from Britannia to the Rhine and Provincia.

This is probably my second favorite COIN game I have played thus far. Its very close. It has a great theme and the factions all play in interesting ways. Unfortunately, I don't know how often I would get it to table and so I am not looking to own it. Besides enough people locally have access to the COIN games I am easily able to play their copies. - 8/22/21
