Fate of Cthulhu

Great Old Ones reach from a dark future into the present, corrupting history and preparing the way for an apocalypse. Players take the roles of time-travelers and their present-day allies, working together to alter key events and complete missions that can change the course of the timeline. The game uses the Fate Core System and includes rules for corruption, time paradoxes, ripple effects, rituals, and spells. Characters may gain monstrous abilities as they approach corruption, and heroic last stands can sacrifice a character to improve the future. Five example timelines provide scenarios and guidance for creating new ones.
