Grant: The Western Campaign of 1862

A two-player wargame covering the Union offensive into West Tennessee and the campaign leading to the battle of Shiloh. The Union player coordinates three armies and naval forces to capture Nashville and Corinth, seize Island Number Ten, and advance along the major rivers. The Confederate player blocks these offensives, chooses when to counterattack, and may attempt to carry the war into Kentucky. River movement and combat are as important as operations on land, while a chit-based sequence of play reflects the commanders’ abilities and creates variable turn orders.
