Halma
An abstract strategy game in which players move a cluster of pieces from one corner of a checkered board into the opposite corner. Players take turns moving a single piece by stepping to an adjacent square or by making one or more successive jumps over occupied squares, using chains of jumps to advance quickly across the 16×16 grid. The objective is to transfer all of a player’s pieces into the target yard in the opposing corner before opponents do, with two- and four-player variants using different starting yards and piece colors.
