Kido Butai: Japan's Carriers at Midway

A solitaire game simulates the Battle of Midway from the Japanese perspective. Players command the Imperial Japanese Navy’s carrier strike force, launching aircraft to attack the American base on Midway and any U.S. carriers encountered while managing and preserving their own strength. The game recreates the decisive events of June 4, 1942, when U.S. dive bombers destroyed three of the four Japanese carriers within minutes. Players use streamlined mechanics to direct attacks and attempt to maintain the force’s advantage.
