Players excavate dangerous cliffs and collect fossil cards to build a personal collection inspired by 19th-century paleontology. Each turn, players draw fossils into their excavation tableau one by one, using a push-your-luck mechanism similar to classic blackjack: come as close as possible to 21 points without going over to earn priority in choosing fossils played that round. Variable player powers and a set-collection scoring system influence decisions and final scoring. The game ends when a player fills all collection slots and players compare collections to determine the winner.
