Moods
In Moods, players take turns drawing a Mood Card and a Phrase Card. The active player reads the phrase aloud, embodying the emotion specified on their Mood Card—which remains hidden from the other players. The remaining players then use their voting chips to guess the mood being portrayed. Correct guesses allow both the actor and the guessers to advance on the game board. The first player to reach the finish space wins the game. The game emphasizes expressive reading and emotional interpretation. Players must convincingly convey moods such as "romantic," "sneaky," or "zany," while others rely on their perception to identify the correct emotion. This dynamic fosters an engaging and often humorous atmosphere, making it suitable for social gatherings and parties. Moods might be considered a cousin to games such as Taboo and Charades—especially charades-style variants like Guesstures—although Moods focuses on vocal expression and emotional tone rather than wordplay or pantomime.
