Nilo
Players shape the Nile by placing river and land tiles, steering the river’s course before it swells and floods low-lying areas. On each turn a player places a tile and draws a replacement, then resolve floods when the river rise counter advances or when a flooded river tile becomes isolated. Buildings placed on flooded tiles are destroyed while ships on those tiles become afloat markers. Score is determined when the draw pile is exhausted: players count remaining buildings and ships afloat to determine the winner.

Bulemero7.5 Nilo has surprised us with its simplicity and at the same time with its depth. There should be a category of games that encompasses all those in which you play the first game without really having any idea of what is going on and, as soon as you count the final points, a light bulb goes on and you start thinking about all the things that you should take into account in the next one (which you will almost certainly do next, unless you have urgent plans). “Revealing Games”? It sounds good, but we have our doubts about possible licenses that we are using without knowing it…
