Objective: Schmidt
A tactical simulation of the US 28th Division’s assault on Schmidt in the Hürtgen Forest from November 2–6, 1944. Players direct US infantry against German counterattacks by the 89th Infantry and 116th Panzer Divisions amid poor weather, difficult terrain, and determined resistance. Turns represent 20 minutes, with each hex covering 125 yards. Infantry platoons and individual vehicles serve as the primary units, and scenarios can take from several hours to more than 100 hours to complete.
