Paranoia (Mongoose Edition)
A satirical roleplaying game set in Alpha Complex, a sealed society ruled by the benevolent Computer. Players take the roles of troubleshooters assigned to dangerous missions, while managing conflicting orders, secret society loyalties, restricted information, and accusations of treason. Characters return as replacement clones when killed, making betrayal and execution part of the game’s dark comedy. Three play styles support different tones: anarchic slapstick, classic paranoid conflict, and more serious satire focused on evidence, procedure, and careful investigation. Modern themes include surveillance, consumerism, identity theft, phishing, and computerized technology.
