Rosetta: The Lost Language
Players work cooperatively as a team of scholars attempting to decipher a vanished people’s written language. One player acts as the Author who secretly assigns meanings to inscriptions in a fictional script; the other players propose words and receive the Author’s translations into that script to refine their model of the writing system. Play cycles between guessing and translation until the team reproduces the target inscription, and the number of guesses becomes the group’s score.
