Heroes of Baler

Recreate the 337-day siege of Baler, where a Spanish detachment defended a church against Filipino insurgents during the Spanish-American War. This asymmetrical tactical game gives one player control of the Spanish besieged force and the other the Filipino besiegers, with a solo mode for the Spanish side. Players manage cards and action points to conduct firefights, raids, artillery attacks, repairs, and trench construction while dealing with supplies, disease, desertions, and outside support. Each turn represents approximately two months of the siege, with different victory conditions for each faction.
