Spartacus: Crisis in the Roman Republic 80-71 B.C.
A two-player strategic, card-driven board wargame that simulates the political and military struggle in the Roman Republic during 80–71 B.C. One player commands the Sertorian coalition aiming to destabilize the Republic through territorial gains, political pressure, and alliances; the other controls the Republic, balancing field armies, ambitious generals, and internal threats to prevent constitutional collapse. Players conduct battles, guerrilla and pacification operations, recruit legions, and deploy political actions across a point-to-point map. A central Crisis Track records political strain and influences recruitment, command choices, and victory conditions; the game resolves victory by territorial control, political collapse, or surviving political pressure.
