The Army of the Heartland: The Army of Tennessee's Campaigns, 1861-1863

A strategic-operational simulation of the Confederate Army of Tennessee’s campaigns in Kentucky, Tennessee, and northern Georgia during the Civil War, covering the years 1861–1863. Players command divisions, brigades, and regiments across two maps, with each hex representing roughly 5¼ miles and each turn covering five days. Nine scenarios cover major engagements, while an 1863 campaign scenario presents the choices available to both sides over a full year. More than 90 individually rated leaders influence initiative, administration, and tactics, alongside detailed army displays, charts, tables, and historical analysis.
