The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
In Hobbiton, players help Gandalf and the Dwarves search the village’s Hobbit holes for ten missing Dwarves. The game is assembled from LEGO bricks before play begins. Players take turns rolling a custom die to move between Hobbit holes and use a torch to reveal pieces. Dwarves are collected, while matching Hobbits, breakfasts, and runes trigger different effects, including peeking at hidden pieces, reclaiming an opponent’s Dwarf, or searching another hole. A map allows movement to any Hobbit hole. Once all ten Dwarves are found, the player with the most wins. Variant rules alter the board layout or add special search conditions.
