The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: Foundations of Stone
An expansion for the cooperative card-driven quest game that converts a specific scenario into its Nightmare Mode. It provides an alternate encounter deck with deadlier enemies, harsher locations and new treachery effects, plus setup instructions that remove certain original encounter cards and add the new ones. Twenty new encounter cards and a Nightmare Mode setup card introduce changed pacing and tactical pressures, while an additional rules card explains scenario-specific modifications. Players continue to build decks and resolve quests as before, but must adapt to the intensified threats and altered encounter sequencing.
