The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Deck-Building Game

Players assume the roles of iconic heroes from Middle-earth and build their personal decks by acquiring new cards each turn. Hands of five are drawn from individual ten-card starter decks, and Power generated by cards is spent to add Allies, Artifacts, Maneuvers, Fortunes, Locations, and enemy cards to one’s deck. A shared Archenemy deck presents escalating threats that players must defeat for high Victory Point value, while a Journey of the Ring map tracks progress toward Mount Doom: some card effects advance the Ring, others delay it. The player with the most Victory Points at the end of the game wins.
