Tinian: The Forgotten Battle
A company-scale wargame covering the 1944 American invasion of Tinian in the Mariana Islands, where Japanese forces defend the island against an amphibious assault. Three scenarios cover the initial landings, the advance toward Mount Lasso, and the final days of the battle. Three campaign games span the historical nine-day operation, a hypothetical landing on the southern beaches, or a free setup with control over defenses and landing schedules. Rules cover beach landings, naval and air support, caves, mines, reconnaissance, tropical storms, cave sealing, banzai charges, flamethrowers, napalm, and other battlefield conditions.
