Valley of Tears: The Yom Kippur War, 1973

A Battalion Combat Series wargame depicting the Yom Kippur War from 6 October 1973 through the superpower- and UN-enforced ceasefire, covering both the Sinai and Golan fronts at a one-mile hex scale with battalion-level units. Players command Israeli and Arab forces in large-scale armored operations, using Centurion and Patton tanks against T-62s, while managing the effects of Sagger missiles, RPGs, and evolving Soviet tactics. A dedicated air warfare system covers air superiority, close air support, SEAD, and deep-strike missions against SAMs, air bases, and infrastructure. Eight scenarios include campaigns for both fronts and shorter actions such as the Iraqi intervention and battles for the Golan.
