Violet and the Grumpy Nisse
Violet journeys through the forest to meet her friend Ordep, while Torech, a grumpy nisse, tries to delay her with tricks and traps. In this two-player trick-taking game, Violet controls the pace of the journey while managing her lantern’s fuel and rising fear. Torech uses traps and won tricks to increase Violet’s fear and extinguish her light. The trump suit changes as Violet moves through different parts of the forest, and most cards have special abilities that activate when they are not played as trump. Violet wins by reaching the end of the journey; Torech wins if her lantern runs out or fear overwhelms her first.
