Yomi (Second Edition)

A head-to-head card game that distills fighting-game tactics into hand management and simultaneous play. Players use character-specific decks where numbered cards are normal attacks, face cards are special moves and aces are super moves; each turn both players choose a card face-down, reveal simultaneously, and resolve hits, blocks, throws and dodges. Winning exchanges enables combos, blocking grants a draw, and a bluff mechanic lets a defender play a facedown card to potentially negate a combo. Deck-building is not required; characters are preconstructed and asymmetric, and additional modes support team play, solo practice against an automated opponent, and multi-character matches. Victory comes by reducing an opponent’s life to zero or by having more life when the deck runs out.
