13 Minutes: The Cuban Missile Crisis, 1962

Two-player microgame that recreates the Cuban Missile Crisis as a tense, card-driven duel between the two superpowers. Players take the roles of the U.S. or the USSR and each plays exactly five strategy cards to place Influence on shifting battlegrounds, score majorities, and manipulate the evolving world map. Each played card becomes a new battleground, so the map changes with every action and choices have lasting consequences. Decisions can increase prestige or escalate toward global nuclear war, so hand management and timing are central to play.
