An Attrition of Souls

Players command one of two great alliances across Europe during the First World War, contesting territory from the trenches of Flanders to the Russian steppes. Each turn, players draw action tiles from a pouch according to their economic points and place them on the map to move armies, reinforce fronts, and initiate attacks. Combat resolves through a system that models heavy attrition rather than decisive swings, so careful planning and resource management determine outcomes more than luck. Games play quickly, with the balance of power shifting over a series of tile-driven turns until one side gains dominance.
