This is an expansion for Zooloretto that can be played separately. In terms of mechanics, Aqualoretto is more interesting than Zooloretto because you get to dictate the sizes of each animal pen with your tile placements. The downside is that the player board is less aesthetically pleasing. The animal tiles are still cute however.

Same as Zooloretto, with more tactical options. I don't see the need to own both - this is the one I would have. A few niggly problems, such as the lack of a sea background, and the fact that not all coworkers are equal, but the game still plays quickly. The lack of sea background, sadly, will cause me never to buy it.
