Balloon Cup

Players compete across a series of short balloon hops to collect colored cubes and earn trophy cards. Four landscape cards (two plains and two mountains) are laid in a row, each seeded with one to four colored cubes. From a hand of numbered balloon cards, players simultaneously play cards to the left or right of each landscape to try to outvalue their opponent: high-value cards favor mountains, low-value cards favor plains. The winner of each landscape takes its cubes, flips and refills the card, and may gain trophies by trading in collected cubes. The first player to claim three trophy cards wins.

We love breaking this out. Fantastic cut throat simple card game.

This is a light, quick playing 2 player game where you draw some cards, and try to budget them. The only good cards in the game are the low and high numbered ones, so if you luck into a lot of cards in the middle of the spectrum, you will lose. You play cards to your, or your opponent's side of the balloon tiles to try to compete for the colored cubes on the tile. The cubes go to whomever's side has either the highest or lowest sum in cards depending on the facing of the tile.
