Beyond the Nightmare Gate

Players take the role of Grey Star, a Shianti wizard searching for the Moonstone, the source of his people’s wisdom. The journey leads across the grey plains of the Neverness, through the Crystal Tower, and into a realm inhabited by gods and demons. As a gamebook adventure, play proceeds through numbered passages, with choices determining the route and events. A Wizard’s Staff and Shianti spells aid the quest to defeat Shasarak and save mankind.
