Corsair Leader

Players command a squadron of Marine F4U Corsairs and support aircraft in Pacific Theater operations around the Solomon Islands campaign (late 1942–early 1944). Each mission begins with force composition decisions, allowing inclusion of Dauntlesses, B-25s and B-17s alongside Corsairs; each type has distinct combat profiles, payloads and target preferences. Play resolves aircraft activation and tactical choices each turn: pilots choose Offensive or Defensive postures that modify attack and vulnerability, and Fast/Slow pilot timing rules let some aircraft Rush or Wait for timing-based bonuses or penalties. The game is solitaire and emphasizes mission planning, aircraft management and tactical decision-making over a sequence of engagements.
