Cthulhu: Death May Die – Godzilla Vs Cthulhu

An optional kaiju acts as an uncontrollable force of nature on the board. It is not an enemy and investigators cannot directly control it; instead a die roll each turn dictates its behavior, which can include roaring to cost sanity, stomping to kill enemies and leave Debris tokens that block movement, or firing atomic breath to place fire and wound all figures in a zone. After the Elder One is summoned the kaiju switches modes and pursues the Elder One, triggering a recurring clash between them. The Elder One retaliates against the kaiju, increasing a Distress track rather than reducing health; if that track fills and the kaiju retreats, investigators lose unless the Elder One is defeated first, so players must account for and influence the monster’s interactions while pursuing the primary objective.
