D-Day at Peleliu

Simulates the US 1st Marine Division’s September 1944 landings and the two-day struggle for an airfield on a Pacific island, with an optional extended campaign into rugged high ground. Players maneuver units across a single map using a counter sheet and 55 cards, resolving landing hazards, variable enemy positions, and map-encoded fields of fire. Gameplay models US weapons versus Japanese defenses and uses random events to drive a tactical narrative. Adds Pacific-specific mechanics such as naval and aerial bombardment, flamethrowers, reefs and coastal defenses, Japanese tank attacks, tunnel movement, and Banzai charges.
