Fate Core System

A flexible tabletop roleplaying system that supports any setting from sci-fi to sword-and-sorcery to genre mash-ups. Players create proactive, capable characters defined by aspects that drive both narrative and mechanics. Play centers on collaborative storytelling: players declare actions, invoke aspects to gain bonuses or compel complications, roll Fate dice to determine outcomes, and spend or earn fate points to influence the scene. Game sessions run from a couple of hours to a full evening and scale to small groups of players and a GM who frames conflicts and consequences.
